Although, I usually write on offbeat destinations where you might not find so much of crowd, but I just could not eliminate Shimla out of the equation this time. If you are in Himachal Pradesh you ought to visit this town for sure. The capital city of Himachal Pradesh is a treat to watch out especially for newlyweds and honeymooners.

Shimla is a great place for all those who are fond of walking. Oh, my wife Sarah just commented that I usually write about walking while readers would prefer to take a cab or just drive their own car. Well, readers you can pick up your mode of transport but I believe walking the small town lanes, beaches, forest areas, and green hilly regions gives you a unique experience as you can explore more than being in the car. In Shimla you can explore the Mall, Lakkar Bazaar, Lower Bazaar, Chhota Shimla and Five Benches Road.

Nature lovers can explore Summer Hill and villages of Kamina and Tattapani. If you are not too interested in Shimla probably because you might have visited it earlier then try Chail. Chail is around 90 minutes from Shimla and it offers a great honeymoon trip experience without getting into the hustle bustle of Shimla market. The location is picturesque and the atmosphere is peaceful around here giving you the right kind of private moments that love birds need. You can enjoy the view of Satluj Valley, Shimla and Kasauli right from Chail. There are not many hotels and resorts here so I would recommend booking your accommodation well in advance. If you love shopping you can always take a cab to Shimla and return to Chail in just few hours.

Chamba

North west of Manali you will find Chamba on the map which is also one of the best honeymoon destinations in Himachal Pradesh that love birds can explore. The best thing about Chamba that it still manages to retain the natural beauty despite so much of tourism happening here.

You will find travelers here throughout the year so I would once again recommend booking your accommodation a bit in advance so that you don’t have last moment accommodation issues. Apart from couples you will also find many adventure trekkers here that come here to quench their thirst for winter adventure and activities. There are many temples around here that visitors can explore like Laxmi Narayan Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple, and Sui Mata Temple. Couples can also enjoy some shopping in the local market as they decide to return.
